Privacy Policy

RestockRadar ("we", "us") is a Shopify app built by 8th Origin LLC that captures back-in-stock demand on a merchant's storefront and turns it into dollar-ranked reorder recommendations. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Store information — your .myshopify.com domain, store name, currency, and locale, provided by Shopify when you install.
• Staff account — the name and email of the staff member who installs or configures RestockRadar, from your Shopify session, used only to authenticate you into the app.
• App configuration — your alert settings, thresholds, and purchase-order preferences. This is data you create.
• Back-in-stock requests — when a shopper asks to be notified about an out-of-stock product, we store the contact they submit (email or phone) together with the product and variant, on your behalf. You are the controller of this data; we process it only to send the notification you configured and to rank your reorders by captured demand.
• Catalog and inventory data — product, variant, and inventory levels read from Shopify's API to detect restocks and build purchase orders.

How we use it

Solely to operate the app for you: capture waitlist demand, send back-in-stock notifications, rank reorder recommendations in dollars, and generate purchase orders. We do not sell data or use it for advertising. Shopper contacts are used exclusively for the notifications they requested.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling RestockRadar deletes your store's configuration and waitlist data within 48 hours via Shopify's mandatory shop/redact webhook. Shoppers' contacts are removed when their notification is sent and the request completes, when you delete them, or when Shopify sends a customers/redact request.

Sharing

Data lives in our database hosted on Neon (Postgres, US region) and the app runs on Vercel. Notifications are delivered through the provider configured in your settings. No other third parties receive your data.
